CAPA, Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness, is dedicated to serving Hillsdale County. Through educational programs, events, fundraisers, and other activities we are working hard to try to make a difference for children and families. We work hard to stay focused on our mission. Our vision that all children will live in families and communities that love, nurture and protect them can only become a reality with all of us making it a priority.

CAPA Hillsdale offers 6 impactful programs dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect and the promotion of child well-being in Hillsdale County. These initiatives include educational programs like:

Safe Sleep - to prevent SIDS

Real Caregivers Rock Campaign - to raise awareness about shaken baby syndrome

Stewards of Children - program for preventing child sexual abuse.

Triple P - Positive Parenting Program - which equips parents with strategies to build healthy relationships and manage children's behavior.

Children's Yellow Pages - a one-stop resource for the essential services necessary for the care of all kids. Dial 211 for all resources.

Babysitting 101 & CPR Training - to equip teenagers with childcare knowledge and safety skills.
Furthermore, CAPA Hillsdale engages in community education to strengthen families and create a safer environment for children through various outreach efforts and collaborations.
